Buying in Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme

Both have their own village centres and railway stations, with good schools and plenty of semi detached and detached family homes. The new homes at Woodford Garden Village have added more choice for people moving up.

Moving up

If you're selling and buying at the same time, the main questions are whether to move your current mortgage to the new home or take a new one, and how to time it around any early repayment charges. I'll work out which is cheaper overall and sort out the borrowing before you start viewing.

Buying a new build

New builds often have longer timescales, and mortgage offers have a time limit. Some lenders allow longer offers for new builds, and some limit how much they'll lend. I'll make sure your offer lasts long enough for the build to finish.

Meeting in person

My office is in Hale, a short drive from Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme. I'm happy to meet you in person, at home or somewhere convenient, or we can do everything by phone, video and email if that's easier.

Adam has been an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout my house purchase as a first-time buyer. He went above and beyond to find the best possible interest rate for me and was always on hand to answer any questions I had about the mortgage application process, no matter how big or small. Buying my first home on my own could have been a confusing and stressful process, but Adam provided invaluable support and guidance throughout. He was always approachable, patient and reassuring, and made sure I understood each step along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for all his help and would highly recommend Adam to anyone looking for a mortgage adviser, particularly other first-time buyers.

Questions people ask

Can I move my mortgage to a new house?

Most mortgages can be moved, which avoids early repayment charges. If you need to borrow more, the extra is usually on a separate deal. I'll compare this with a new mortgage.

How long does a mortgage offer last on a new build?

Usually around six months, but some lenders offer longer for new builds. If the build is running late, I'll look at extending the offer or finding another option.

When should I start looking at my mortgage if I'm moving?

Before you put your home on the market, ideally. Knowing what you can borrow helps you set a sensible budget and move quickly when you find somewhere.
