Adam has been an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout my house purchase as a first-time buyer. He went above and beyond to find the best possible interest rate for me and was always on hand to answer any questions I had about the mortgage application process, no matter how big or small. Buying my first home on my own could have been a confusing and stressful process, but Adam provided invaluable support and guidance throughout. He was always approachable, patient and reassuring, and made sure I understood each step along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for all his help and would highly recommend Adam to anyone looking for a mortgage adviser, particularly other first-time buyers.

Buying in Altrincham
Altrincham has changed a lot in the last ten years. The market hall and the restaurants around it have made the town centre a big draw, the Metrolink gets you into Manchester easily, and the grammar schools keep demand for family homes high.
Homes range from Victorian terraces near the town centre and new build apartments in Broadheath to larger family houses towards Hale and Bowdon.
Things to get right before you offer
- Be ready to move quickly. Good homes here don't hang around. A Decision in Principle shows the agent you can proceed.
- School catchments. It's easy to stretch for the right postcode. I'll show you what the monthly payments look like at different budgets so you can decide with the real numbers in front of you.
- New build flats. Some lenders limit how much they'll lend on new build flats, and valuations can come in below the asking price.
- Leasehold. Lenders look at how long is left on the lease and the service charge, so it's worth checking both early.

Questions people ask
Do I need a Decision in Principle before I make an offer?
It isn't required, but most Altrincham estate agents will ask for one, and it shows sellers you're serious. I can usually get one within 24 hours.
Is it harder to get a mortgage on a new build flat?
It can be. Some lenders want a bigger deposit for new build flats, and valuations sometimes come in lower than the asking price. I'll go to lenders that are comfortable with the development.
Can you help if I'm moving to Altrincham from elsewhere?
Yes. A lot of the process is done remotely anyway, and I can help you work out what you can afford before you start viewing.
